YuGiOh Beta Released

YuGiOh Beta Released

Our YuGiOh Beta is live! 🚀

The CardBot can now scan and sift YuGiOh cards by name, first letter and TCGplayer market prices.

This Beta release is a little rough around the edges and there’s some ways to go before a full release, but we’re excited to have added our third game alongside MTG and Pokemon!

To start scanning YuGiOh:

  1. Update your CardBot to the latest software [add link to Intercom article]
  2. Select YuGiOh from the Game options [GIF]
  3. Set your filters and hit “Start”

Outlined below are the current issues with this Beta release. We’re now working hard to resolve them.

  1. Printing Detection

The CardBot cannot currently determine the printing of cards with multiple re-prints. Our upstream data sources have images for each printing, but no mapping of which image matches which set. We have a path forward for rolling our own printing detection which is now a priority for YuGiOh. Cards with multiple printings will appear with a "?" as their set symbol and "Unknown" as the set name/collector number. A printing can be selected from the normal dropdown.

  1. Recognition Rate

The recognition rate is well below our normal standard. We wouldn't normally release at this stage but a number of stores have expressed interest in getting their hands on it early. The recognition rate will improve dramatically with our work on printing detection, and the silver lining is that all games will benefit from these improvements.
