CardCastle at GenCon 2024

CardCastle visited GenCon for the first time this year! It was a great opportunity to connect with stores and players. We'll definitely be back next year, hopefully with our own booth.

We saw two CardBots in action - ProPlay Games and Moonshot Games were running them in their booths. They were scanning away, appraising collections and finalizing buys from players.

It turns out we weren't the only "card castle" there - Cardhalla was basically a room full of them! Cardhalla is a charity event where people can build card towers out of trading cards throughout the show and destroy them at the end. The towers are destroyed by people throwing coins at them and then those coins are donated to charity. The history of the event is interesting too.
